In 2019, the concept of "future community" was first proposed in the government work report of Zhejiang Province, marking the beginning of an important innovative practice. According to the "Pilot Work Plan for Future Community Construction in Zhejiang Province", the construction of "Future Communities" follows the "139" overall framework, aiming to create a new community model.
自2023年起，浙江省全域推进未来社区建设，明确到2025年，全省创建约1500个未来社区、覆盖全省约30%的城市社区；到2035年，基本实现未来社区全域覆盖，打造共建共享品质生活的浙江范例。
Since 2023, Zhejiang Province has been promoting the construction of future communities throughout the province, clearly stating that by 2025, approximately 1,500 future communities will be created throughout the province, covering about 30% of urban communities. By 2035, future communities will be basically covered throughout the region, creating a Zhejiang model of jointly building and sharing a quality life.

We position Dongmei Future Community as a multi-functional integrated comprehensive project, covering seven major business types including talent residences, talent apartments, offices, resettlement housing, commercial facilities, supporting facilities and kindergartens, to ensure that it can meet and support the demands of the "nine future scenarios". As one of the second batch of future community pilot projects in Zhejiang Province, Dongmei Future Community shoulders the important responsibility of taking the lead in trials. The project is dedicated to the coordinated development of the multi-lake Central Business District, facilitating the overall take-off of the Jinyi New District. It serves as an important platform for urban spatial reconstruction and functional enhancement. With the positioning of "Innovation-driven community", it aims to support the development of Jinyi's main axis and create a future community with all-round improvements in technology, business and living.

During the planning stage, we held repeated discussions and finally determined the planning form of "one core, one ring and multiple clusters". We envision that the core functional areas of the community should be like the heart, providing vitality to the entire community. Circular transportation and public Spaces act as "blood vessels", connecting various residential and functional clusters, making residents' travel more convenient and communication more frequent. Such a design not only optimizes the traffic flow lines but also enhances the interactivity within the community, making it full of vitality.
